LEAGUE CUP FINALS (43-100)
Until season 76 this competition was played on a league basis. Inaugurated in season 43, it was the fore-runner of the league championship and was known at that time as the "Silver Cup". From seasons 55 to 76 it was renamed the "Primary Cup", and was open only to clubs in the Premier Division (the clubs in the lower divisions played in the "Secondary Cup"). From season 77 it became the League Cup and included all clubs in the league.
